Kristi Martin Cowden Featured in Inaugural Aperture Exhibition for Chattanooga’s Depth of Field Day

CHATTANOOGA, TN — September 22, 2026

Professional photographer and designer Kristi Martin Cowden has been selected to showcase her work in the Aperture Exhibition, the centerpiece gallery event of Chattanooga’s inaugural Depth of Field Day. The city-wide celebration transforms East Martin Luther King Boulevard into a dynamic creative hub designed to elevate, celebrate, and connect the photographic talent of the Greater Chattanooga area.

Founded by local photographer Koleby Gilbert through River City Company’s Emerging Producers Program, and sponsored by organizations including the Lyndhurst Foundation and the Association for Visual Arts (AVA), the event fills a critical gap in the community by offering a dedicated space for regional visual artists.

Cowden’s six featured pieces will be unveiled during the evening reception at the historic Bessie Smith Cultural Center (200 E M L King Blvd) from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM. The exclusive showcase presents a curated selection of work from local photographers across diverse backgrounds, offering a powerful look into the visual stories and landscapes of the region.
