Welcome! I'm Kristi Martin, a photographer, designer, and outdoor guide creating fine art landscape photography inspired by the mountains, forests, rivers, and coastlines of the American Southeast.

Through my company, Swell & Sky, I create fine art photography for homes, interior designers, hospitality spaces, and commercial projects while also teaching photography through workshops, field guides, and outdoor photography experiences.

Whether I'm photographing sunrise in the Smoky Mountains, storm light over the Blue Ridge Parkway, wildlife along the coast, or quiet moments found while traveling, my goal is always the same: create photographs that help people feel connected to the places they love.

About Kristi Martin

Before founding Swell & Sky, I spent more than twenty years working as a designer creating digital products and brand experiences for agencies, startups, and Fortune 500 companies.

That background in design continues to shape my photography today through a focus on composition, visual hierarchy, storytelling, and creating artwork designed to live beautifully in homes and public spaces.

My outdoor experience includes years of guiding, teaching, coaching, and exploring mountain, river, and coastal environments throughout the United States.
