About Kristi Martin, Photographer, Designer & Creator of Swell & Sky

Swell and Sky is a photography studio founded by photographer and designer Kristi Martin. Inspired by the landscapes, weather, and atmosphere of the American Southeast, the studio creates fine art photography for homes, hospitality spaces, and commercial environments.

Kristi’s work is shaped by formal photography training, award-winning design experience, outdoor field expertise, and more than 20 years working in visual communication, including creative roles supporting Fortune 500 brands.

Rather than creating photographs simply to be viewed, Kristi creates photographs meant to be lived with. Approaching each image through both a photographer’s eye and a designer’s understanding of space, her work focuses on atmosphere, composition, visual rhythm, and sense of place. The result is fine art photography designed to complement residential, hospitality, and commercial interiors throughout the Southeast.

Today, Swell & Sky brings together fine art photography, designer partnerships, photography workshops, and educational resources that help people create stronger photographs, travel more simply, and connect more deeply with the landscapes of the Southeast.
